I am attempting to re-vamp our SAR curriculium using our WFA training model. This is all new to me, so I am not sure how to organize this topic yet. Please visit here often as I'll update more education related references in the next few months. SAR education will have its own column in this forum.

Never says never...etc
The following article is written by TS, he is referring to the saying: "Lightning NEVER strikes the same place twice."
「Lightning: This is an easy one. Of course it's a myth.
by NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (Notes) on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 2:41am...
According to it's internet site the Empire State Building is struck an average of 100 times a year. If you watch lightning storms in the high mountains you'll see the same peak struck repeatedly.
Even if you're not familiar with lightning you should be skeptical simply from the use of the absolute, never. Like always, it's a high standard to hold, and often a source of error. Many a medical educator has fallen into the trap of speaking in absolutes about medicine, a topic where uncertainty is common.
